Infinity (continued)
I like the sharply defined lines of constructivist abstraction. I have developed shapes by drawing the mobiles I created and I am now introducing diagonals. In the process of transfering a sketch on to canvas I am exploring the notion of tension between clean sharp lines and forms and a looser type of expression.

Infinity
Here I am moving away from the circle to a curved line which suggests a bigger form that extends off the picture plane ......
I used this sculpture as a starting point and I was also influenced by Terry Frost's painting 'Red and Three Blues' 1970-71.
With each painting I do in this series 'Infinity' I want to make small changes to lead on the body of work and change the pace so that there is a sense of progression.
